A bit of Sunshine from the Sunshine State!

This weekend my bestfriend, Brandi and her fiancé Joel came to visit us. I have been anticipating there visit since the day that I moved to Atlanta. They got in late Friday night and we had our friend Arthur who owns a limousine service take us to the airport to pick them up. To their surprise we were waiting outside in the limousine with glasses of champagne to greet them. The one request Brandi had was she wanted to see all the sights of Atlanta, so Arthur drove us around downtown Atlanta and showed us the hot places, (even where Elton John stays when he is in town). After getting back, we gave Bran and Joel the grand tour of our townhouse. Since I haven't seen Bran since December and Reese and Joel had never met we sat around with wine and caught up on everything that has been happening in our lives.
On Saturday, Brandi and I wanted to do a little shopping at the different boutiques in town and also go get me fitted for my bridesmaid’s dress for Brandi's wedding. While we were doing that the boys went off to play some golf (which they both love to do!Now I know why the guys hit it off so well.) Since I been here I really haven't had the opportunity to do alot of exploring in Atlanta, so it was nice to be able to go to Buckhead, Midtown, and Downtown to all of the little shops. Brandi got the opportunity to get a dose of Atlanta and see all different parts of the city.
One of my favorites (also Reese) is going to the Atlanta Braves game. I really wanted Brandi and Joel to experience a game. We had great first row seats right in front of first base. So, we had a great view of the game and also of downtown. Even though the Braves lost it was a great game and I am so happy they got to experience one of the aspects of Atlanta that Reese and I love so much. Saturday night we went to one of our favorite bars, Marlows with our neighbors Lisa and Don. There is always a great band there and just a fun atmosphere. We had a great time spending with each other, dancing and of course drinking!
On Sunday, we took Brandi and Joel to Atlantic Station, which is an outdoor shopping area with shops, restaurants, and lots of entertainment. We went to Rosa Mexicana for lunch. They have excellent guacamole and amazing enchiladas. From there they were having an art festival, we walked around and looked at all of the booths that had all local artists. We finished the afternoon by walking around and exploring in the little shopping area. When we got home we packed Bran and Joel up and headed to the airport. It was a sad goodbye, but I know they will be back soon. We had such a great time with both of them and it was so good to have them here.
